Tucked away in the corner of a local library, Wendy found her love of books at an early age. She often took out ten to twenty books each week with her grandpa. As she grew up, Wendy became an Early Childhood Teacher in Texas and nurtured her students’ love of reading. In 1999, she went to Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Wendy graduated and became a K-5 Reading Specialist and Writing Coach in Waltham, MA for nineteen years. Sophie at the Fall Festival is Wendy’s first book. It was inspired by her Norwegian Forest Cat, Sophie. Her playfulness, curiosity, and love for life live on through her books. Wendy lives in Maynard, Massachusetts.
